As the Russia collusion narrative has gotten them absolutely nowhere, liberals have shifted in the last few weeks to trying to take down President Donald Trump by claiming that he has some sort of physical or mental illness. However, this new strategy backfired on Friday when a doctor examined Trump and announced that he is perfectly healthy.
CNBC reported that the doctor in charge of Trump’s first physical exam as president said that it “went exceptionally well.” Before the physical, which took place on Friday afternoon at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Trump said he expected it to “go very well.”
“I’ll be very surprised if it doesn’t,” said Trump, 71. “It better go well. Otherwise the stock market will not be happy.”
Trump’s physical exam was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Ronny Jackson, the White House physician.
“The President’s physical exam today at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center went exceptionally well. The President is in excellent health and I look forward to briefing some of the details on Tuesday,” Jackson said afterwards. Jackson will be taking questions from reporters about the physical on Tuesday.
Back in December of 2015, Trump’s personal physician, Dr. Harold Bornstein released a letter about the then-presidential candidate’s health.
“If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency,” Bornstein wrote.
In September of 2016, Bornstein sent out another letter that said Trump was 6-foot-3-inches tall and weighed 236 pounds. He wrote that tests for cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar and other readings “are all well within the normal range.”
“Mr. Trump is in excellent health,” the doctor wrote.
Trump is known for loving fast food and having an aversion to exercise. In their new book “Let Trump Be Trump,” former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and ex-campaign aide David Bossie wrote that “Trump’s appetite seems to know no bounds when it comes to McDonald’s.”
They wrote that Trump’s typical dinner includes “two Big Macs, two Fillet-O-Fish and a chocolate” shake, a meal that is 2,430 calories. They added that during Trump’s campaign, “there were four major food groups: McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, pizza and Diet Coke.”
